The article analyzes the first explicit mention of the Toledot Yeshu - a polemical Jewish account of Jesus' life - in Christian literature. The text under scrutiny is located in the Extractiones de Talmud, a Latin translation of hundreds of passages from the Babylonian Talmud, which was prepared during the 1240s in Paris as part of the legal proceedings against the Tal-mud.
