In Questiones super libro De animalibus Aristotelis, its author Petrus Hispanus (1205-1277) comments upon a great number of medical doctrines referring to Greco-Roman, Arabic and Jewish authors. This article offers a brief presentation of Avicenna's medical doctrines commented upon by Petrus and tries to demonstrate that the Questiones were written not only for students of natural philosophy but also for students of medicine.
