La Federación de Veterinarios de Europa (FVE) solicita la prohibición del uso de animales salvajes en los circos en Europa, solicitando formalmente a "todas las autoridades nacionales y europeas competentes, prohibir el uso de los mamíferos salvajes en los circos itinerantes en toda Europa, ya que hay no es en absoluto posible, que sus necesidades fisiológicas, mentales y sociales se puedan respetar, asumiendo que no hay educación, conservación, investigación o beneficio económico derivado de la utilización de los mamíferos salvajes en los circos itinerantes que justifiquen su uso '.
The Federation of Veterinarians for Europe (FVE) is calling for a ban on the use of wild animals in circuses across all Europe, formally recommending to 'all European and national competent authorities to prohibit the use of wild mammals in travelling circuses across Europe since there is by no means the possibility that their physiological, mental and social requirements can adequately be met', assuming that there is little or no educational, conservational, research or economic benefit derived from the use of wild mammals in travelling circuses that might justify their use'.

The Italian Supreme Court (Corte di Cassazione) on the 24 September 2014, has deposited the sentence about the confiscation of the 4 dolphins that had been carried away from the Rimini Dolphinarium from the Italian environmental police (Corpo Forestale dello Stato) and the Rimini Public Prosecutor in the august 2013, confirming the confiscation of the animal, the first time in Europe we talk about mistreatment of dolphins in a private structure.

The Third Criminal Section of Italian Supreme Court with the sentence n. 30177 of the 16 June 2017 has established very relevant principles about protection of animals, deciding that "(human) interest in not animal suffering" is legally relevant and that "as for the protection of pets and companion animals, the detention of crustaceans on the ice integrates the crime of mistreatment (art 727 Italian criminal code ), because it causes important suffering, for economic reasons, with the consequence that between the economic balance and (human) interest in not animal suffering, this last one is prevailing".
En esta sentencia la Corte Suprema Italiana ha establecido principios muy relevantes para la protección de los animales, al reconocer que el interés humano en el no sufrimiento de los animales es legalmente relevante y que, al igual que en el caso de los animales de compañía, la tenencia de crustáceos en hielo constituye un delito de maltrato animal, al causar un importante sufrimiento, prevaleciendo dicho interés a que los animales no sufran, sobre el interés económico.

On July 13th, 2016 the Italian Criminal Court of Padova issued an eight-month sentence to the director of the Medrano Circus for cruelty to animals as per article 544 ter of the Italian Penal Code.
El 13 de julio de 2016, el tribunal penal de Padova condenó a ocho meses de prisión al director del circo Medrano por crueldad hacia los animales, de acuerdo con lo dispuesto por el artículo 544 ter del Código Penal italiano.

In this article the author, lawyer of the plaintiff, summarizes the entire issue regarding Green Hill's vivisection Beagles. She also comments the ruling 210/15 of 23rd January 2015, condemning the president, the director and the veterinarian of the multinational company for abuse and illegal killing of animals, in its plant in Brescia (Italy).
La autora, letrada de la parte demandante, realiza en este artículo un resumen de toda la historia de los perros destinados a la vivisección de Green Hill. Ella hace también una valoración de la Sentencia 210/15, de 23 de enero de 2015, que condena el presidente, el director y el veterinario de la empresa multinacional por maltrato y matanza ilegal de animales, en su planta de Brescia (Italia).
