The fauna of ammonites from the Urgonian and Supraurgonian (Black Flysch) complexes, between Gemika and Deba (Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa), is described. The Urgonian consist of limestone horsts and lutite troughs separated by active faults. [...]

(Instituto Geológico y Minero de España)
A new benthic foraminifer is described as Glomospirella cantabrica n. sp. from several sections of the Upper Aptian Reocín Formation and one occurrence in the lowermost Albian Las Peñosas Formation of Cantabria (northern Spain). [...]

The fossil genus Clypeina (Michelin, 1845) comprises some 40 species. We describe Clypeina tibanai, a new species from upper Albian-Cenomanian strata of the Potiguar, Brazil, characterised by closely set verticils of tubular, bended laterals. [...]

The El Soplao site is a recently-discovered Early Albian locality of the Basque-Cantabrian Basin (northern Spain) that has yielded a number of amber pieces with abundant bioinclusions. The amber-bearing deposit occurs in a non-marine to transitional marine siliciclastic unit (Las Peñosas Formation) that is interleaved within a regressive-transgressive, carbonate-dominated Lower Aptian-Upper Albian marine sequence.
