Esa escasez se explicaría porque tal motivo no se encuentra en los evangelios apócrifos relacionados con el Pseudo-Mateo, que son la fuente habitual de los relatos sobre la infancia y juventud de María. This shortage could be explained by the fact that this topic is not in the apocryphal gospels related with the Pseudo-Matthew, which are the usual source of stories about the early life of Mary.
