The object of this article is the native concept of "deliverance from demons" as articulated in a group of renewed Catholics in the Western Region of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The purpose is to present an initial analysis of "deliverance" as ordinariness, arguing that native notions of "openness", "walk" and "Truth" are central to understanding the ways in which the persons daily avoid to be tempted by evil beings.
