/
Castiñeiras, Manuel 1964- (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Departament d'Art i Musicologia)
La troballa en el mercat d'antiquaris d'una peça marmòria, fins ara desconeguda, procedent de la portada de l'església del monestir de Sant Pere de Rodes (el Port de la Selva, Alt Empordà) obre la possibilitat de reconstruir millor el programa iconogràfic de la façana duta a terme pel Mestre de Cabestany cap a l'any 1163. [...] The discovery on the antique market of a previously unknown fragment of marble from the portal of the monastic church of Sant Pere de Rodes (El Port de la Selva, Alt Empordà) offers us a more accurate reconstruction of the iconography of the facade created by the Master of Cabestany in around 1163. [...] El hallazgo en el mercado de anticuarios de una pieza marmórea, hasta ahora desconocida, procedente de la portada de la iglesia del monasterio de Sant Pere de Rodes (el Port de la Selva, Alt Empordà) abre la posibilidad de reconstruir mejor el programa iconográfico de la fachada llevada a cabo por el Maestro de Cabestany hacia el año 1163. Casanova, Conceição (Universidade Nova de Lisboa) ;
This article presents the study of an illuminated missal from the monastery of Alcobaça (BNP, Alc. 252). The analysis of the liturgical content and the materiality of the codex, including here the illumination and the binding, as well as a comparative study with other manuscripts from the same monastery, will allow us to confirm its origin in the scriptorium of Alcobaça, to determine its dating, to understand its context of production and use(s), and to take into account the evolution of the liturgical-material characteristics of the codex.

(Dis)closed : Tabernacle Altarpieces in the Rhineland
/
Ralcheva, Pavla (Universität zu Köln)
Most of the tabernacle altarpieces preserved throughout Europe are fragmented, overpainted, and reconstructed, thus impeding a closer analysis of their image program. A detailed study of the earliest fully preserved representatives of this altarpiece type originating from the Lower and Middle Rhine as well as some other little-known late medieval examples from this region will cast some light upon topics such as the construction and evolution of the form as well as the iconography and media used in its creation and its possible impact on the spectator. [...]
