Els objectius d'aquest mòdul són que l'alumnat: a) es familiaritzi amb els principals models teòrics desenvolupats en l'àmbit de la traducció audiovisual (TAV); b) conegui el paper i impacte de la traducció audiovisual en el marc dels drets humans; c) conegui la relació entre traducció audiovisual i accessibilitat als mitjans; d) conegui la història de la TAV així com les seves principals modalitats i gèneres; e) sàpiga fer servir amb fluïdesa conceptes bàsics de l'àmbit; f) aprofundeixi en conceptes relacionats amb la variació lingüística i la seva aplicació a la TAV, especialment les nocions d'oralitat/escriptura i registre; h) reflexioni sobre les dificultats terminològiques en textos audiovisuals diversos (ficció i no ficció); i) reflexioni sobre la traducció d'elements culturals en diverses modalitats de TAV i conegui els principals estudis en aquest camp; j) sàpiga sistematitzar les diverses estratègies aplicades en la traducció de l'humor en textos audiovisuals, i k) conegui les línies d'investigació més recents en TAV, amb un èmfasi especial en aspectes tecnològics, cognitius i de recepció. The objectives of this course are that students: 1) become familiar with the main theoretical models developed within Audiovisual Translation Studies; 2) become aware of the role and impact of audiovisual translation on the human rights framework; 3) know the relationship between audiovisual translation and media accessibility; 4) become familiar with the history of audiovisual translation and with its main transfer modes and genres; 5) are able to easily use the basic concepts in the field; 6) deepen their understanding of concepts related to language variation and their application to audiovisual translation, with special emphasis on the concepts of oral/written language and register; 7) are able to discuss the terminological challenges in different types of audiovisual texts (fictional and non-fictional); 8) are able to discuss the translation of cultural references in various types of audiovisual transfer modes and know the main research in the field; 9) are able to categorise the different strategies implemented in the translation of humour in audiovisual content, and 10) know the main recent research lines in audiovisual translation, with emphasis on technological, cognitive and reception studies Moreover, the objectives of this module are that students: 1 Moreover, the objectives of this module are that students: a) understand the meaning-making mechanisms in scripts through examples from the cinema but applicable to other audiovisual narratives, and b) understand the basic mechanisms, structures and concepts of audiovisual narratives and scriptwriting.
Los objetivos de este módulo son que el alumnado: a) se familiarice con los principales modelos teóricos desarrollados en el ámbito de la traducción audiovisual (TAV); b) conozca el papel e impacto de la traducción audiovisual en el marco de los derechos humanos; c) conozca la relación entre traducción audiovisual y accesibilidad a los medios; d) conozca la historia de la TAV así como sus principales modalidades y géneros; e) maneje con fluidez conceptos básicos del ámbito; f) se familiarice con los principales líneas de investigación del ámbito; g) profundice en conceptos relacionados con la variación lingüística y su aplicación en TAV, en especial las nociones de oralidad/escritura y registro; h) reflexione sobre las dificultades terminológicas en textos audiovisuales variados (ficción y no ficción); i) reflexione sobre la traducción de elementos culturales en diversas modalidades de TAV y conozca los principales estudios en este campo; j) sepa sistematizar las distintas estrategias aplicadas en la traducción del humor en textos audiovisuales, y que conozca las líneas de investigación más recientes en traducción audiovisual, con un énfasis especial en aspectos tecnológicos, cognitivos y de recepción.
