In this article, we will analyze the multimodal speech of the Venezuelan newspaper El Universalduring the campaign for the Constitutional Reform of 2007. The methodological apparatus used to study multimodality is made up of the postulates from the critical multimodal studies by Kress, Leite-García and van Leeuwen (2000); the structural analysis of the news by van Dijk (1996), and contributions from other researchers, necessary for the study of graphic resources in print journalism.
