First of all you must go to the International Welcome Point (IWP) to present your personal details and collect the international student card. IWP is located in the Plaça Cívica. It is open from 10:00 to 13:30 from Monday to Friday. Your arrival will be recorded and you will find the following services:

• International student card, which will identify you as a UAB student. You must provide two photographs and your passport or identity card
• Information about the UAB
• Accommodation
• Practical information about life in Barcelona and its surrounding area (transport,  advantages for students, etc.).
• Help solving your problems during your stay with us
• Visas

Then you must go to Gestió Acadèmica of the Facultat de Dret (Registration Office) with your student card. You will be given all the information you will need to register as well as a folder and a student’s guide at the faculty’s Punt d’Informació i Suport Logístic. The faculty’s exchanges coordinator will sign all students’ arrival certificates.

After that you have to go to your exchanges coordinator in order to get all the necessary academic information and choose the courses you would like to register for. Notice that you can enrol for any subject offered by our faculty and the rest of the faculties, but you should also be aware that you must enrol at least 50% of your credits in the Facultat of Dret. You should be aware that one UAB credit is equivalent to one ECTS credit.

International students should register within the period established by Gestió Acadèmica. For the first semester students usually register in the third week of October. For the second semester students usually register around the second week of March. Before you register, you have some weeks to attend lessons to determine the level and group you prefer in order to ensure the validation of your studies in your university.

To register, you should fill in an application form you will be given at the faculty’s Punt d’Informació i Suport Logístic. Then you must visit your coordinator in order for her to sign it. Once the application form is signed, you will be able to register at Gestió Acadèmica within the established period.
