Uso compulsivo de sitios de redes sociales, sensación de soledad y comparación social en jóvenes

Abstract:	Los temas que aquí se abordan están relacionados a la interacción que se encuentra en la modernidad del Internet, su uso constante, y los efectos que su acceso puede tener en la población joven. Se busca conocer si existe una relación entre el nivel de uso de internet, la comparación social y los niveles de sensación de soledad debido al estar en constante crecimiento el uso del Internet se le atribuye un impacto negativo en la juventud actual. Se condujo un estudio empírico cuantitativo de corte transversal, con análisis de las variables ex post facto. La muestra constó de 206 participantes, usuarios activos de al menos un sitio de redes sociales, hispanohablantes, entre las edades de 18-34. Los resultados indican que a mayor uso compulsivo de internet, mayor la comparación social tipo ascendente.
Abstract:	The topics here mentioned are related to the interaccion that is encountered in the modernity of the Internet, its constant use, and the effects that the acces might have on the young population. The purpose its to know if there is an existing relationship between the levels of usage of Internet, social comparison, and the levels of loneliness perceived and due to its constant growth, the use of the Internet is attributed a negative impact on young people. An empirical cuantitative study, of transversal cut was conducted with analisis of the variables ex post facto. The sample consisted of 206 participants, active members of at least one social media site, Spanish speakers, between the ages of 18-34. The results indicate that the greater the compulsive use of the internet, the greater the ascending social comparison.
