Higher education tuition for optimal educational returns
Correa, Hector

Date: 1998
Abstract: In this paper an elementary mathematical model is used to analyze tuition and privatization policies for higher education. One of the main results that can be derived from it is that charging an optimal tuition for higher education, its alumni can obtain a higher total income than the income that could be obtained when no tuition is charged. The paper ends with some observations about the methodological limitations of the model used as well as those of models in general as instruments for policy analysis.
