Resum: According to contemporary literature, in the second half of the 18th century the concept of minuet changed drastically. But it is a phenomenon practically ignored in choreographic and musicological studies. To begin an investigation into this new conception of minuet, we start from the composer Luigi Boccherini as one of the greatest cultivators of the genre in the second half of the 18th century. This new conception of the minuet and its relationship with Boccherini raises several questions: did Boccherini's direct relationship with choreographic practice influence his musical conception of the minuet? Did this conception change as this form evolved? Does any Boccherini minuet function as a sound impulse for all types of minuet choreography from the second half of the 18th century in Spain? In this paper we will try to answer these questions through two approaches: a) Study of the choreographic phenomenon in the light of the contemporary dance treatises closest to his environment and with those with whom he could have a direct relationship through practice, such as his sister María Ester and his brother-in-law, the dancer and choreographer Onorato Viganò, together with the treatise writer Gennaro Magri. b) Study of the musical phenomenon, studying the evolution of rhythmic patterns and their agreement or discordance with the basic patterns of the choreutical articular units that make up the choreographic phrases in the minuet. This type of research requires a transdisciplinary approach that involves a syncretic dialogue between choreography and musicology. The minuet as a choreomusical form in the last third of the 18th century has lacked, until now, a comprehensive transdisciplinary study. Thus, in this paper we propose a new transdisciplinary perspective (choreomusical and theoretical-practical) on the choreographic aspect in Luigi Bocherini's music starting from the minuet form.
