Centre d’Estudis Demogràfics (CED-CERCA)

El Centre d’Estudis Demogràfics (CED) es un centro CERCA, un centro de investigación y formación en demografía, fundado en el año 1984, a través de un consorcio entre la Generalitat de Catalunya y la UAB siendo, en la actualidad, uno de los centros europeos de referencia en demografía . La investigación del CED se encuentra organizada en tres grandes áreas: Familias, desigualdad y cambio social; Globalización, migraciones y espacio; y Salud y envejecimiento. En cuanto a la formación, el CED ofrece, conjuntamente con el Departamento de Geografía de la UAB, el Programa de Doctorado en Demografía. El CED también es miembro de la European Doctoral School of Demography (EDSD), siendo su sede durante varios cursos académicos.
