Internet.
Un 52% de los hogares disponían de un
acceso a Internet durante el 1er trimestre de 2006, frente a un 48% durante
el primer trimestre de 2005, y un 32% tenían una conexión de banda ancha,
frente a un 23% en 2005. La situación es muy dispar entre los Estados
miembros. Así pues, los porcentajes más elevados se encuentran en los Países
Bajos (80%), en Dinamarca (79%), en Suecia (77%) y en Luxemburgo (70%). Los
tipos más bajos se observaron en Grecia (23%), en Eslovaquia (27%), en
Hungría (32%), en Lituania y Portugal (35% respectivamente). A principios de
2006, un 94% de las empresas de al menos 10 asalariados tenían un acceso a
Internet (91% a principios de 2005), y un 75% una conexión a banda ancha
(63% en 2005).
