Today starts IDGP Workshop 2015. The workshop marks the culmination of the first six years of a research project under funding by the Spanish Ministry of Education, and will also be the launching of a new project by the same team. We are pleased to announce that the "Consell de Govern" of the UAB has approved the proposal for the appointment of Tim Kehoe as honorary doctorate. Kehoe is a member of MOVE's Advisory Board since its foundation.

MOVE Barcelona Workshop on Macroeconomics aims at bringing together frontier research in Macroeconomics. We are very happy to have Nobel Laureate Finn E. Kydland among this year's participants. The workshop will be held at IAE-CSIC Building in Bellaterra Campus of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona on Friday, March 20th. The workshop is organized by Nezih Guner, Albert Marcet and Tim Kehoe. Read more here.

MOVE fellow David Perez-Castrillo has been awarded an ICREA Academia in its 2014 edition.

MOVE fellow Nezih Guner was interviewed in the newspaper "La Vanguardia". The interview highlights his recent research on the relation between marriage and health, carried out jointly with MOVE fellow Joan Llull and Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona-IDEA PhD student Yuliya Kulikova.

The research by Guner, Llull and Kulikova is also among the eight finalists for the "Vanguardia de la Ciencia" prize. This prize aims at promoting awareness of scientific research in Spain and invites everyone to participate in an on-line voting to select the winner.

MOVE fellow Jordi Massó has been appointed Associate Editor of Review of Economic Design.

We congratulate MOVE fellow Caterina Calsamiglia on obtaining an ERC Starting Grant at MOVE for the project "A Comprehensive Approach to School Choice and Education.”
