Servei de Llengües

Information about Catalan language that may be useful when preparing your stay in UAB.

The Servei de Llengües offers Catalan courses for foreign students. The aim of these courses is to provide students a basic level in order to facilitate them to attend lessons in Catalan and to fully integrate in the university's life and in the Catalan society.

Servei de Llengües also organizes courses in order to improve and spread the modern languages' communicative use. Also, UAB Idiomes Campus offers certification processes and a translation service.

Intercat

Under this name you will find a group of means to learn Catalan through new technologies' use: SpeakCat, University conversation guide and Sisplau. Furthermore, this site contains also information about the situation of our language in the Catalan Countries and about welcoming programmes and language exchanges offered by the catalan universities.

Centre d'Autoaprenentatge de Llengües (CAL)

The main objective of CAL is to offer a place in the university with tools and help in order to learn languages by oneself; this is, according to one's rhythm, level, schedule, activities' and modality's preferences: alone, in group, with or without an adviser's help... CAL offers this service in Catalan, English, German and French, although they will incorporate gradually other languages.
