La recuperación de cuatro relaciones de sucesos sobre el caso histórico de la Monja alférez, Catalina de Erauso, impresas en Sevilla entre 1618-1625 -contemporáneas por tanto a la vida de esta singular mujer (¿1592-1650?)-, nos permiten analizar diferentes testimonios de prácticas relacioneras de la época ligadas a este caso, así como el periplo textual que conduce desde aquellos pliegos hacia otros géneros textuales, con especial atención hacia la supuesta autobiografía -renovada incesantemente en el tiempo- de la protagonista, en una diseminación de prácticas narrativas (y bien pronto escénicas) que consolidarán hasta época contemporánea el perfil legendario de esta figura en el imaginario colectivo ibérico y latinoanoamericano. |

The recovery of four news pamphlets about the historical case of the 'Nun-Lieutenant' Catalina de Erauso, printed in Seville between 1618 and 1625 - and so contemporary with the life of that singular woman (¿1592-1650?) - enable us to analyse different examples of journalistic practice related to this case, as well as the textual journey that leads from those news pamphlets to other textual genres, in particular Catalina's supposed autobiography that was continually revised across the years, and also the production of narrative (and also theatrical) texts that go to make up, until modern times, the profile of this legendary figure in the Iberian and Latin American collective imagination. |
