Durante estos últimos meses la prohibición de los circos con animales en México está siendo un tema de mucho debate entre los mismos mexicanos, ya sea a favor o en contra, y también a nivel internacional. En el presente comentario se indican tanto los Estados que han prohibido en todo su territorio los circos como aquellos Municipios de las Entidades Federativas que han modificado su legislación con el objetivo de vetar dichos espectáculos. La autora relata cómo fue el inicio de este movimiento y recoge diversos argumentos que sirvieron de base para esta prohibición. El comentario incorpora también una descripción de la situación actual a raíz de dichas prohibiciones, con comentarios de los empresarios del sector, y finaliza con destacar los principales objetivos a tener en cuenta en cuanto a la prohibición legal de los circos con animales. |
| Abstract: |
In recent months circuses with animals have been forbidden in Mexico and have raised an important debate in this country - both in favor or against this ban - and also at the international level. This commentary indicates those States which have prohibited the use of animals in circuses in their whole territory, and also those Municipalities of the Federative Entities which have approved a legislation that bans this kind of spectacles. The author of the document describes how this movement started and write down some of the arguments used as the basis for this prohibition. A brief description about the current situation in this Country after banning the use of animals in circuses, as well as commentaries from businesses are also included in this commentary, which ends emphasizing the main targets that must be considered when planning to prohibit the use of animals in circuses. |
