Inmigración y marginalidad : la representación televisiva del "otro" en las series españolas de ficción

Abstract:	The migratory phenomenon constitutes one of the more disputed and most visible effects ofthe globalization, so much by its enormous dimensions (a good part of the migrations are clandestine) as by the reach of the deep changes that causes in the welcome societies, The absence of a true public debate around the immigration (beyond the information on the illegal ones catched or the interested declarations of the politicians), turns the television processing of this theme in a faithful image of it founders that it causes in the own Spanish company. The objective of this reflection is to determine the representation of the other-immigrant in the Spanish televising series of fiction to be able to reconstruct therefore the conceptual map of the relations among the identity and the otheness that is designed. The chosen perspective (observers) assigns us a priori to that imaginary community of "Spanish", "Catalonian ", etc. , from whose distance they are observed, with resisted feelings (fear, superiority, curiosity, empathy, compassion . . ), those other virtual ones (viewers) that we convert without large difficulties in trite emblems of our relation with the otherness (delinquent/victim; exploitative/exploited; excluded/integrated . . . ), because of the extreme typicity with which they come represented. The methodology utilized is the socio-semiotic analysis of the figure of the immigrant in the Spanish television fiction aired between 2000 and 2003, framed in the televising context in which they take place and these programs are consumed.
Abstract:	Los flujos migratorios actuales constituyen uno de los efectos más visibles y más controvertidos de la globalización, tanto por sus inconmensurables dimensiones (una buena parte de las migraciones son clandestinas), como por el alcance de los profundos cambios que provoca en las sociedades de acogida. La ausencia de un verdadero debate público en torno a la inmigración (más allá de las informaciones sobre los ilegales apresados o las declaraciones interesadas de los políticos), convierte el tratamiento televisivo de este tema en una imagen fiel de la zozobra que provoca en la propia sociedad española. El objetivo de esta reflexión es determinar la representación del otro-inmigrante en las series televisivas españolas de ficción, para poder reconstruir así el mapa conceptual de las relaciones entre la identidad y la alteridad que se diseña. La perspectiva elegida (observadores) nos adscribe a priori a esa comunidad imaginaria de "españoles", "catalanes ", etc. desde cuya distancia son observados, con sentimien tos contrastados (miedo, superioridad, curiosidad, empatía, compasión . . . ), esos otros virtuales (televisivos) que convertimos sin grandes dificultades en emblemas tópicos de nuestra relación con la alteridad (delincuente/víctima; explotador/explotado; excluido/integrado . . . ), gracias a la extremada tipicidad con la que vienen representados. La metodología utilizada es el análisis socio-semiótico de la figura del inmigrante en las series y seriales españoles de ficción emitidas entre 2003 y 2003, enmarcado en el contexto televisivo en el que se producen y se consumen dichos programas.
