Castilho Cunha, Kathia (Puc-SP)

Date: 2001
Abstract: More than re-inventing fashion as a concept, we choose to recreate our body, giving it new meanings, hiding or revealing different parts and amplifying its capability of meaning as a sensible support, it is the body itself which is twisted, stretched, enlarged and changed throughout time. Modified according to certain periods and aesthetic concepts, the body redefines itself following an specific era. The nudity that he were born with is manipulated marking therefore strong link. Moreover body history follows the history of culture itself.
