Hace algunos años, mientras cursaba el grado en Antropología Social en una universidad del norte de Chile, nos encomendaron la lectura de un artículo que reflexionaba sobre las implicaciones del trabajo antropológico en las relaciones humanas de los grupos de estudio. Allí su autora, Teresa San Román, repasaba la importancia del compromiso fundamental del trabajo de campo in situ en el que el investigador pudiese aproximarse a las cuestiones cotidianas y a menudo invisibles de la cultura. Dado que este conocimiento -reflexionaba la autora- podría eventualmente afectar a los propios grupos de estudio, era necesario orientar el conocimiento adquirido a la mejora de su situación. Una impronta que Teresa, ahora no solo a través de sus reflexiones impresas sino esta vez sentada a mi lado, comienza a rememorar junto a Aurelio Díaz y Aurora González, los tres fundadores del Grup de Recerca en Antropologia Fonamental i Orientada (GRAFO), un SGR consolidado y reconocido por la AQU. Algunas de estas conversaciones tuvieron lugar en la celebración del vigésimo aniversario del GRAFO en algunos rincones de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la UAB. En estas conversaciones se basan muchas de las ideas que expongo en esta reseña de homenaje. |

Some years ago, while I was studying for a degree in Social Anthropology at a university in northern Chile, we were entrusted with the reading of an article that reflected on the implications of anthropological work in the human relationships of study groups. Her author, Teresa San Román, reviewed the importance of the fundamental commitment of field work in situ in which the researcher could approach the everyday and often invisible issues of culture. Since this knowledge (the author reflected) could eventually affect the study groups themselves, it was necessary to guide the knowledge acquired to improve their situation. An influence that Teresa, not only through her printed reflections but this time sitting next to me, begins to remember with Aurelio Díaz and Aurora González, the three founders of the Research Group in Fonamental and Oriented Anthropology (GRAFO), a SGR consolidated and recognized by the AQU. Some of these conversations took place in the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of GRAFO in some corners of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UAB. Many of the ideas that I present in this tribute are based in these conversations. |
