Abstract:	The Occitan Roman of Jaufréoffers the most complete description of ahuman being affected by leprosy in all medieval literature. From its behavior and treatment derives a medical knowledge, absent in pious texts, and it is observed that, while understanding leprosy as a Sexually Transmitted Disease, the author does not make any criticism of it.
Abstract:	La novela occitana Jaufré ofrece La descripción más completa de unser humano afectado por la lepra de todala literatura medieval. De la conducta y su tratamientose deriva un conocimiento médico, ausente en textos piadosos, y se observa que, aun siendo entendida como una enfermedad de transmisiónsexual, el autor no efectúa ninguna crítica de orden moral.
