Abstract:	This chapter explores the nature of languages and the role they play in our daily lives. After completing the chapter's activities, students will be able to: · Identify the presence and use of various languages in their daily lives · Observe how languages are connected to each other and to different cultures · Understand that languages and cultures are alive and evolve over time.
