| Abstract: |
Based on ethnographic fieldwork and research in judicial archives, this presentation focuses on interpersonal violence in areas of high marginality to illustrate the political dimension of what we call "concatenations of harm. " The concatenations are political in a double sense: a) they are shaped by state interventions (legal and illegal), b) both victims and perpetrators understand them as caused by state actors, either directly (in the form of police repression) or clandestinely (in the form of collusion with actors linked to crime). |
