Abstract:	Book IV from the work De ueritate fidei christianae (Basel, 1543) by Juan Luis Vives is organized in the form of a dialogue between a "Christian" and an "Alfaqí" as a vehicle to refuse the Islamic ideas contained in the Alcoranus, especially in the De doctrina Mahumeti. In this work we offer an approach to the rhetoric construction of the dialogue, perhaps the most complete expression of the contribution of the Hispanic humanist to the polemics against the Islam and one of the most important of the sixteenth century.
