Abstract:	En este trabajo se estudia la distribución intrametropolitana de las actividades intensivas en información y conocimiento en la RMB. Si la proximidad especial es más necesaria en este tipo de actividades, debería observarse un patrón más concentrado que en el resto. Los resultados indican que, aunque entre 1991 y 2001 se han desconcentrado a un ritmo similar al resto de sectores, siguen estando más concentrados. Los subcentros presentan una proporción creciente del empleo, lo cual avala la idea de descentralización concentrada. Cabe destacar que el número de subcentros identifi cados ha aumentado de forma significativa.
Abstract:	The paper examines the distribution as between metropolitan centres and intensive communications andinformation sourcing sectors within the RMB. Were closeness to hand to be of a premium for these, it isargued that their locating should be so much the tighter than in other activities. The findings here offeredindicate that although these other activities have indeed undergone a general process of decentralizationbetween 1991 and 2001, the same has not held for those here under study, these remaining much moreconcentrated. Their relevant sub-centres have shown a proportionally greater growth in employment whichis here thought to point to a concentrating decentralization. The increase in the number of such sub-centresin also considered worthy of attention.
