Resumen:	Este texto explora la construcción del espacio del hogar y sus objetos cotidianos en la ficción cinematográfica como un elemento fuertemente generizado, cuyas distorsiones en nombre de lo terrorífico, fantástico o insólito pueden reforzar o subvertir las categorías de género. Se toman como materiales de análisis las películas Pesadilla diabólica (Burnt Offerings, Curtis, 1976) y Soy la bonita criatura que vive en esta casa (I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, Perkins, 2016), seleccionadas por sus temáticas y tratamientos formales. Dichos productos culturales traslucen tanto los cambios en roles y relaciones de género impulsados por los planteamientos feministas como las reacciones a los mismos, problematizando y añadiendo nuevas capas de significación a las asociaciones convencionales entre femineidades normativas y espacios domésticos.
Resumen:	This text explores the construction of the space of the home and its everyday objects in film fiction as a strongly gendered element, whose distortions in the name of the terrifying, fantastic or unusual can reinforce or subvert genre categories. The films Burnt Offerings (Curtis, 1976) and I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (Perkins, 2016), selected for their thematic and formal treatments, are taken as materials for analysis. These cultural products reflect both the changes in gender roles and relations brought about by feminist approaches and the reactions to them, problematising and adding new layers of meaning to the conventional associations between normative femininities and domestic spaces.
