Resumen:	L'articolo ricostruisce l'immagine dei forestieri nelle maggiori opere della letteratura romanesca del Seicento. Se nella ridicolosa di Verucci un francese è canzonato sul modello del Raguet, a fine secolo il colto Alessandrini si dimostra ospitale e aperto alle influenze straniere mentre Peresio esorcizza la paura del turco con le feste organizzate dal capopolo Meo Patacca. L'atteggiamento complessivo che emerge è comunque quello di una società chiusa e ostile verso chiunque non fosse romano e romanesco.
Resumen:	The article analyzes the image of the foreigners portrayed in the major works in Roman dialect written in the 17th century. If in Verucci's ridicolosa a Frenchman is mocked on the model of Raguet, at the end of the century Alessandrini proves his openness to foreign influences, while Peresio exorcises the fear of the Ottoman Empire with the trionfi organized by the chieftain Meo Patacca. The overall attitude that emerges, however, is that of a society that is closed and hostile towards anyone who is not Roman.
