Visio et Amor dei - Nicolás de Cusa y Juan de la Cruz / Gutiérrez, Raúl (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú)
A la luz de la idea Nicolás de Cusa de que los diversos modos finitos de entender a Dios tienen su principio y fundamento en éste mismo y constituyen así modos en los cuales el Absoluto se ve a sí mismo, interpreta el autor la distinción entre principiantes, aprovechados y perfectos como modos diversos de entenderse a sí mismo, a Dios y al mundo estableciendo así que Juan de la Cruz tiene una clara conciencia de la función mediadora y constitutiva que el sujeto tiene respecto de la realidad.
In the light of Nicholas of Cusa s idea that the diverse finite modes of understanding God are founded in the Absolute itself, and thus constitute modes by which the Absolute sees itself, the author interprets the distinction between the beginners , the advanced and the perfect as diverse modes of understanding oneself, God and the world, thus confirming that John of the Cross has a clear awareness of the mediating and constitutive function which the subject has with respect to reality.

Ao introduzir o tema da visão mística, Nicolau de Cusa mostra-se herdeiro da tradição neoplatônica enquanto supõe como fundamento de tal visão a própria visão absoluta. Contudo, seu pensamento privilegia o paralelismo entre a visão absoluta e a visão humana ao ponto de entender que, apenas na autocontemplação do dinamismo de sua visão, o homem pode fazer visível para si a visão de Deu.
Introducing the topic of the mystical vision, Nicholas of Cusa becomes the heir of the Neoplatonic tradition while he supposes as the foundation of such a view the same absolute vision. However, his thought is characterized by a parallelism between absolute and human vision to the point that the man can make himself visible the vision of God only by means of selfcontemplation of the dynamism of his own vision.
