Introduction: The existence and the magnitude of ocular torsion and the physiopathology of the vestibulo ocular reflex have been widely discussed and still remain controversial. Purpose: The aims of this study are to describe the normal values of ocular torsion in healthy subjects and to test the following hypothesis: head position influences ocular torsion but they are not directly proportional, the ocular torsion changes with age, Down syndrome patients have more incyclotorsion than the normal controls.
