Geologica Acta

Self-regulation of trilobite diversity in Murero (middle Cambrian, Spain) due to compensatory extinction / López-Villalta, J. S. (IES Pedro Simón Abril (Alcaraz, Castella-La Manxa). Departamento de Biología y Geología)
As species accumulate in a community, competition for available ecospace is expected to prevent the addition of new species and to facilitate species extinction, thus producing a dynamic equilibrium of diversity. [...]

Late Holocene shorelines deduced from tidal notches on both sides of the Ionian Thrust (Greece) : Fiscardo Peninsula (Cephalonia) and Ithaca Island. / Evelpidou, N. (CNRS-Laboratoire de Geógraphie Physque) ; Karkani, A. (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Faculty of Geology and Geoenvironment) ; Kázmér, Miklós (Eötvös University. Department of Palaeontology) ; Pirazzoli, P. A. (Paolo A.) (Laboratoire de Géographie Physique (Meudon, França))
Fossil shorelines produced by recent co-seismic movements were identified throughasubmarine survey along the coasts of Ithaca and Fiscardo (Greece). In both areas a tidal notch-slightly submerged below present Mean Sea Level (MSL) was observed at various sites. [...]
