Presentamos un análisis crítico sobre la integración de la ingeniería en propuestas curriculares del ámbito científico-tecnológico, auspiciada por el movimiento educativo STEM. Para ello, revisamos las principales perspectivas y planteamientos que se están haciendo al respecto. A continuación, analizamos qué novedad supone introducir explícitamente la ingeniería en el tradicional currículo de tecnología en España. Luego, examinamos bibliografía relevante sobre el tema para determinar qué relaciones podrían establecerse entre la tecnología y la ingeniería. Finalmente, hacemos una propuesta de conceptualización de estas dos disciplinas, incluyendo sus relaciones con la ciencia, que sintoniza con el marco de la educación CTS, y que puede servir de referente en diseños didácticos de integración curricular para el ámbito científico-tecnológico. |
| Abstract: |
We present a critical analysis of the integration of engineering in curricular proposals for science and technology education, sponsored by the STEM educational movement. To this end, we revise the main perspectives and approaches considered in this regard. Next, we analyse what novelty it means to explicitly introduce engineering into the traditional curriculum for technology education in Spain. Then, we review relevant literature on the topic to determine which relationships could be established between technology and engineering. Finally, we make a proposal for the conceptualization of these two disciplines, including their relationships with science, which is in line with the educational framework of STS and can serve as a benchmark in didactic designs for curricular integration in science and technology education. |
