El presente trabajo ahonda en el mediático debate del lenguaje inclusivo, así como en su problemática social y lingüística reflejada en los artículos de opinión de habla hispana. En particular, este estudio explora, desde una óptica metalingüística y discursiva, las formas en las que el género periodístico de opinión expresa lingüísticamente la emoción respecto a este fenómeno, tan emergente como oportuno en la actualidad, y lo califica, así, positiva o negativamente. El objetivo de este trabajo es averiguar la actitud e ideologías subyacentes mediante mecanismos modalizadores y otros procesos. En relación con la composición del corpus, este consta de un total de cincuenta y tres artículos en un periodo de cinco años. Así pues, para el análisis se ha tomado, por un lado, este listado de publicaciones periodísticas; por otro, se revisa brevemente el Informe Bosque, documento que aviva las respuestas plasmadas en nuestro corpus. De los resultados, se evidencia que el texto de opinión abunda en elementos valorativos y actitudinales que pretenden invalidar, en la mayoría de los casos, el lenguaje inclusivo. Las conclusiones obtenidas revelan que esta tipología textual está cargada de tintes afectivos, así como de posicionamientos políticos e ideológicos. |

The present study sets out as an attempt to explore the current polarized issue of inclusive language, as well as the social and linguistic phenomena portrayed in the opinion articles in the context of Spanish speakers. Particularly, this study brings to the forefront, from a metalinguistic and discursive perspective, the ways in which these opinion pieces express emotion regarding this distinct topic at issue. In this sense, the aim of the study is to discover the underlying attitudes and ideologies by means of modalization mechanisms and other processes. As for the methodology used, we combed through fifty-three opinion articles published in the last five years in the press of Spanish-speaking countries. In light of this, the analysis consists of two main parts: on the one hand, the opinion articles are thoroughly reviewed. On the other hand, the report called Informe Bosque is concisely commented, due to its triggering nature and outset to the already mentioned list of opinion pieces. Our findings indicate that the opinion articles in our corpus are loaded with evaluative and attitudinal elements that intend, in most cases, to undermine inclusive language. The conclusions obtained show that this text typology gives rise to emotional overtones and also political and ideological positions. |
