Resumen:	Esta tesis trata de las formas de representación histórica en la Francia contemporánea, que aborda a través de dos hilos conductores: la elaboración de los conceptos de memo-ria, historia y revolución, y el vínculo entre el contenido y la forma en la escritura de la historia. El trabajo se despliega en dos partes: una dedicada al siglo veinte y otra al siglo diecinueve. La primera se centra en el giro historiográfico de los años setenta. A través de las figuras de Michel Foucault, Paul Veyne y François Furet examina esa transformación y su posterior influencia en la historiografía. La segunda, a su vez, se ampara en las obras sobre la revolución francesa de Alphonse Aulard, Hippolyte Taine y Edgar Quinet para evaluar el papel que desempeñan en ellas la historia, la memoria y la revolución, y para analizar la formación y profesionalización de la disciplina moderna de la historia. El objetivo global es subrayar la importancia de la poética de la historia e iluminar el potencial heurístico de la historiografía decimonónica para la reflexión teórica sobre la disciplina.
Resumen:	This thesis is focused on the forms of historical representation in modern France, which it examines following two main threads: the elaboration of the concepts of memory, history and revolution, and the relation between the content and the form in history wri-ting. The work is divided in two parts. The first one is dedicated to the twentieth centu-ry, and the second one is focused on the nineteenth century. The former one deals with the historiographical turn of the seventies. Through the figures of Michel Foucault, Paul Veyne and François Furet, the significance of this transformation and its later influence on historiography is examined. In the latter, and following the works of Alphonse Au-lard, Hyppolite Taine and Edgar Quinet on the French revolution, the role played on them by history, memory and revolution is assessed, and the formation and the profes-sionalization of the modern history discipline is analysed. The overall purpose is to un-derline the importance of the poetics of history and to lighten the heuristic value of nineteenth-century historiography to the theoretical reflection on history.
