Abstract:	Desde los orígenes del cine a principios del siglo XX, la ciudad ha servido como contexto significativo para el desarrollo de narraciones y relatos de distintas índoles. A partir de la aparición de las urbes como hábitats artificiales erigidos sobre una idea de orden, las tradiciones rurales y el estilo de vida campestre se han trasladado a este marco citadino, desplazando las problemáticas relacionadas con la vida en sociedad y los conflictos propios de los seres humanos a este entorno. Las expresiones de lo fantástico, anteriormente arraigadas en la tradición agraria, se han visto en la necesidad de incorporar el ambiente urbano como escenario inexplorado a través de la actualización de sus conceptos y contenidos. Este artículo tiene como finalidad indagar sobre la representación de la ciudad y su relación con lo fantástico en el largometraje Enemy (Villeneuve, 2013).
Abstract:	Since the beginning of cinema in the early 20th century the city has been used as a significant context to portray a diverse variety of subjects and stories. The origin of big cities as artificial habitats constructed around the idea of order, caused the displacement of rural traditions and lifestyles to the urban landscape and, consequently, the rise of new conflicts for human beings. The expressions of the fantastic, formerly placed in the countryside, moved into the city and its contents and ideas were updated in order to incorporate the urban setting in the storytelling and narrative of this genre. The following article strives to investigate connections between the city as a modern context and its relations with the fantastic as represented in the film Enemy (Villeneuve, 2013).
