Abstract:	This text explores the concepts of effect and affection in contemporary horror cinema. Through the analysis of the films The Babadook and Under the shadow, the text tries to stablish the importance and relation between both concepts.
Abstract:	El presente texto explora las nociones de efecto y afecto en el cine de horror contemporáneo. A partir del análisis de las cintas The Babadook y Under the shadow se establece la relación e importancia de ambos conceptos.
