En este artículo se explora la naturaleza del miedo representado en las novelas Frankenstein y El Golem, estableciendo a éste como poseedor de un trasfondo moral intencionado, que en cada texto cumple una función particular. Esta problemática se aborda desde la perspectiva de la teoría genérica, en específico hablando sobre el rol del miedo en la configuración de la literatura fantástica y de cómo en estas novelas se cumplen dichas pautas. |

This article explores the nature of fear as it is represented in the novels Frankenstein and The Golem, first establishing this emotion as possessor of a deliberate moral undertone that serves a specific purpose for each text. This problematic is addressed from the perspective of genre theory, specifically talking about the role of fear in the configuration of fantastic literature and of how in these novels those norms are put into effect. |
