Enunciados visuales fijos y temporalidad : cómo representar gráficamente el tiempo

Abstract:	Tradicionalmente se ha definido la imagen visual fija como espacialización del tiempo, pura atemporalidad. Si bien la ausencia del factor tiempo parece detener en un puro presente la mayoría de las imágenes visuales, algunas manifiestan explícitamente un despliegue temporal. Lo visual no permite expresar formas deícticas de tiempo como mañana o ayer como los lenguajes verbales, con sus deícticos e índices de ostensión. Sin embargo, es posible reconstruir marcas temporales de pasado y futuro. Del mismo modo que el espacio produce una representación simbólica, el tiempo es mostrado de manera convencional o codificada. En el artículo se analizarán casos tipo para esbozar una categorización de los distintos dispositivos retórico-enunciativos usados en la temporalización de enunciados visuales fijos.
Abstract:	Traditionally the steady image is defined as a spatialization of time, a pure non-temporality; its logic is alien to time, it is out of it. It is obvious that a visual image does not allow us to say tomorrow or the last year in a so concrete way as it happens in verbal language. However, it is possible to reconstruct temporal marks that allude to past and future. A series of rhetorical and enunciative devices can be found by means of which the visual statements express temporal relations. Taking into account that both space and time are symbolical representations, we will show typical cases in order to develop a theoretical categorization about the different rhetorical devices used in the temporalization of steady visual images.
