Resum:	El presente trabajo centra su atención en el estudio de la fábula dentro del relato y se distingue la diferencia entre trama y discurso. La fábula se entiende como parte constitutiva de una historia trascendental que se reproduce en el discurso televisivo de las telenovelas. A partir de una serie de ejemplos, entre los que destaca la telenovela "Betty la fea", se observa la estructura del relato para identificar las posibles variantes. Del estudio se desprenden dos posibilidades: conclusiva e infinita, con sus respectivas diferencias en el guión y en la producción televisiva. El resultado permite comprender la lógica de transformación de un "relato trascendental" en una nueva versión convertida en una aparente nueva historia.
Resum:	This paper focuses on the study of the fable into the story and distinguishes the difference between plot and discourse. The fable is meant to be as a constituent part of transcendental history played in the language of television "telenovelas" (soap opera). From a series of examples, among which, the telenovela "Betty la fea", the story structure is observed to identify the possible variants. From the study two possibilities emerge: conclusive story and infnite story, with their respective differences in the script and in television production. The result allows us to understand the logic of a "momentous transformation story" in a new version converted into an apparent new story.
