Abstract:	This survey presents main ideas needed for obtaining the list of all non-trivial groups G that appear as automorphism group of a non-hyperelliptic genus 3 curve over an algebraic closed field of zero characteristic and concerning equations of genus 3 curves with exact automorphism group G.
