Abstract: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative condition affecting millions worldwide, characterized by cognitive decline and dementia. The rising incidence of the disease and the lack of effective current treatments point to the need for alternative therapeutic strategies. Gut microbiota has emerged as a promising research avenue due to its association with AD pathology. Caloric restriction (CR), a dietary intervention involving controlled calorie reduction, has shown promising effects in extending lifespan and modulating gut microbiota.
