Abstract: Along with the large number of honorary statues found in relation to the public areas of the civic centres of Hispania, there are other much numerous ones that come from private spaces of urban domus and rural uillae, some of which of recognized prestige. Although most of them have been studied and published previously, currently there is no study that gathers and considers them as a whole, reason why this will be the aim of this analysis. It is dealt 29 male and female portraits that usually represent private persons, but also highlight some effigies of emperors of prominent quality. Their chronology covers from I to III centuries CE and the location of several of them in prominent villae located in rich productive areas well connected by the road network provides information on cultural trends and self-representation of the Hispanic provincial elites.
