I wondered how the variation behaves in noncoding genes, in particular lncRNA and miRNA, and if some of these variants have been studied as probable causes for positive selection to act. So, this becomes the main purpose of this literature review, which will also include examples of anthropological and clinical fields and provide advances in methodologies to detect positive selection signals in noncoding genes. |
