Abstract:	Astrology and astronomy reached their peak within the Crown of Aragon under the reign of Pere the Ceremonious (1336 - 1387). The promotion of the science of the stars that King Pere provided became substantial starting in 1359, when Pere Engilbert and Dalmau Sesplanes, master and disciple respectively, entered the service of the Crown to jointly carry out observations and produce astronomical works, with instruments built specifically for this purpose. After Engilbert's death, these tasks reached their culmination with the Tables and almanac and the Tables of King Pere, the latter including the participation of Jacob Corsuno. In addition, Engilbert and Sesplanes fulfilled the role of court astrologers. Particularly in the case of Sesplanes, documentation attests to a number of consultations he handled for Joan, the king's son and heir.
