Abstract:	Investigamos os sentidos atribuídos por mulheres evangélicas que vivenciaram tentativas de feminicídio sobre o papel das famílias nessa conjuntura. Foram realizadas entrevistas com oito mulheres adultas que sofreram tentativas de feminicídio perpetradas pelos (ex)parceiros e que se autoidentificavam como evangélicas. Os dados foram analisados a partir dos Núcleos de Significação. Pautadas no discurso religioso e hierarquia de gênero, algumas famílias orientaram as participantes a perdoarem os companheiros e suportarem o sofrimento em prol dos valores familiares e cristãos. As participantes que receberam suporte material e financeiro familiar apontaram que a ajuda foi imprescindível para enfrentarem a violência. As famílias de mulheres evangélicas, mesmo que promovam auxílio, por meio de discursos e práticas, parecem fomentar a manutenção do casamento em contexto de violência, elemento esse que amplia os riscos de feminicídio. Nesse bojo, percebemos a negligência do Estado em proteger a vida das mulheres, materializada em políticas conservadoras e ineficazes.
Abstract:	Investigated the meanings attributed by evangelical women who experienced attempted femicide about the role of families at this juncture. Interviews were conducted with eight adult women who suffered attempted femicide perpetrated by their (ex)partners and who self-identified as evangelicals. The data were analyzed based on the Nuclei of Meaning. Based on religious discourse and gender hierarchy, some families advised participants to forgive their partners and endure suffering for the sake of family and Christian values. Participants who received material and financial family support pointed out that help was essential to face violence. The families of evangelical women, even if they promote help, through speeches and practices, seem to foster the maintenance of marriage in the context of violence, an element that increases the risks of femicide. In this context, we perceive the state's negligence in protecting women's lives, materialized in conservative and ineffective policies.
