| Abstract: |
This chapter explores the evolution and current crisis of socioeconomic models in Europe and Latin America. The author argues that contemporary social orders were historically built upon the Keynesian-Fordist Social Pact, characterized by a stable complementarity between labor market institutions (predistributive) and welfare regimes (redistributive). However, since the 1980s, the rise of the neoliberal paradigm has systematically dismantled this balance, promoting labor flexibility and significant cuts to social benefits. |
