El presente artículo analiza cómo los sistemas de IA han estado proporcionando información sobre el mundo bajo dos métodos básicos: heurísticas y metaheurísticas. Tras un breve análisis sobre el significado de la innovación y los elementos fundamentales de un sistema cognitivo, el autor sugiere un nuevo enfoque para crear sistemas de IA capaces de innovar.
This paper analyzes how AI systems have been providing new data about the world, basically under two main approaches: heuristics and metaheuristics. After a short analysis about what innovation means and about the basic elements of any cognitive system that elaborates theories on information, the author suggest a new path to create AI systems that could be able to innovate.

En los inicios del siglo XXI está desarrollándose una e-ciencia, una ciencia electrónica y altamente computarizada que exige un replanteamiento sobre la epistemología científica. A través del ejemplo de la Bioinformática y las Biotecnologías, el autor muestra algunas características de esta nueva e-ciencia e indica algunos de los problemas con los que deben enfrentarse los filósofos de la ciencia contemporáneos.
Right at the beginning of the 21st century an e-Science is emerging, a highly computerized electronic science which demands a new way of understanding scientific epistemology. Through Bioinformatics and Biotechnologies, the author analyzes some of the characteristics of this new e-Science and shows several problems which contemporary philosophers of science must face.

Els responsables de moltes de les nostres reaccions i interaccions amb el món són el conjunt de diferents neurotransmissors químics en els nostres cervells. Què passaria si les màquines també tinguessin aquesta característica? En aquest estudi, s'ha utilitzat la combinació de només 3 neurotransmissors per dotar d'emocions bàsiques a màquines artificials.
Los responsables de muchas de nuestras reacciones e interacciones con el mundo son el conjunto de diferentes neurotransmisores químicos en nuestros cerebros. ¿Qué pasaría si las máquinas también tuvieran esta característica? En este estudio, se ha utilizado la combinación de solo 3 neurotransmisores para dotar de emociones básicas a las máquinas artificiales.
Those responsible for many of our reactions and interactions with the world are the set of different chemical neurotransmitters in our brains. What would happen if the artificial machines also had this characteristic? In this study, the combination of only 3 neurotransmitters has been used to provide artificial machines with basic emotions.
