¿Existe lo fantástico en la animación japonesa? : La presencia del bakenko en la televisión y el público contemporáneo

Resum:	El mundo de lo sobrenatural japonés atrae tanto a los nativos como a los occidentales. Uno de estos seres que lo pueblan es el bakeneko, un gato con poderes metamórficos. A pesar de que Japón sea un país altamente tecnológico, las historias sobre esta criatura siguen siendo populares. ¿Estos relatos transmiten el efecto de lo fantástico al receptor actual? El artículo analizará la recepción, tanto desde un punto de vista japonés como extranjero, de dos series con historias sobre bakeneko: Ayakashi (2006) y Mononoke (2007). Una vez hecho el análisis, determinará si se clasifican como fantásticos o si existen problemas sobre lo fantástico dentro de la cultura japonesa.
Resum:	The Japanese supernatural world attracts both natives and Westerners. One of the beings who inhabits itis the bakeneko, a cat with metamorphic powers. Although Japan is a highly technological country, stories about this creature are still very popular. Can these narratives transmit the fantastic effect to current audiences? This article will analyze the reception, both from a point of view of the Japanese and foreigners, of two TV series about a bakeneko: Ayakashi (2006) and Mononoke (2007). Once the analysis is finalized, the article will establish if they can be classified as fantastic or if there are some problems about the fantastic within the context of Japanese culture.
