Resum:	El ascenso de la IA en el campo de la traducción literaria o editorial tiene tanto de realidad como de construcción mediática y exceso del síndrome de nuestro tiempo (la confusión de lo real y lo ficticio, lo que podríamos llamar en términos literarios síndrome Quijote). La propia ambigüedad del objeto hace difícil construir un verdadero lugar crítico para analizar lo nuevo. Sin embargo, de eso se trata. La traducción sin traductores ha pasado de ser una utopía a considerarse una posibilidad. Es necesario reflexionar, afirma este artículo, sobre los aspectos menos visibles de la utopía realizada. La nueva realidad necesita, por parte del observador, un lugar crítico que aleje del verdadero alcance de la IA las construcciones mediáticas que abonan el «superoptimismo» o el «alarmismo».
Resum:	The rise of AI in the field of literary or editorial translation is as much about reality as it is about media construction and an excess of the syndrome of our time (the confusion of the real and the fictitious, what we could call in literary terms the Quixote syndrome). The very ambiguity of the object makes it difficult to construct a true critical space to analyse the new. However, that is what it is all about. Translation without translators has gone from being a utopia to being considered a possibility. This article argues that we should reflect on the less visible aspects of the realised utopia. The new reality requires, on the part of the observer, a critical space that distances media constructions fostering either "super-optimism" or "alarmism" from the true potential of AI.
